Data Deletion
⚠️ This page is a required disclosure under Meta Platform Policy for all apps using Instagram Login or the Meta Graph API.
What data Kreo stores from Instagram and YouTube
When you connect your Instagram or YouTube account to Kreo, we store:
- Your public profile: username, display name, profile picture, follower/subscriber count
- OAuth access tokens (encrypted) needed to make authorised API calls on your behalf
- Any DM automation configurations you create (keyword triggers and linked products)
We do not store your Instagram DMs, private messages, password, or any YouTube private data.
How to delete your data
You have three ways to request complete deletion of your Kreo account and all associated data:
Option 1 — In-app (fastest)
- Open the Kreo app and go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete my account and all data
- Confirm deletion — your account will be permanently closed
Option 2 — Email request
Send an email to privacy@kreo.in with:
- Subject: Data Deletion Request
- Your Kreo username or the email address associated with your account
- Your Instagram username or YouTube channel name (if connected)
Option 3 — Facebook / Instagram disconnect
If you connected Kreo via Facebook/Instagram Login, you can also revoke access directly from Facebook:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Security → Apps and Websites
- Find Kreo and click Remove
- This revokes Kreo's access token immediately. Your account data on Kreo will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days
What happens after you request deletion
- Within 24 hours: Your public Kreo storefront is taken offline and your OAuth tokens are revoked
- Within 30 days: All personal data including profile, link history, automation configs, and Instagram/YouTube data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups
- Exceptions: Financial records (payout history, commission records) are retained for 7 years as required under Indian tax law, but are anonymised — they will no longer be linked to your identity
Deletion confirmation
We will send a confirmation email to your registered address within 5 business days of receiving your deletion request, and a final confirmation once deletion is complete (within 30 days).
